This is a species native to tropical rain forests, . The name deliciosa means "Delicious", referring to the edible fruit. It needs support indoors, either by way of moss stick or some stable structure nearby. this beauty is an easy to grow, large leaved plant with characteristic splits in the leaves. This easy-to-grow houseplant can get huge and live for many years, and it looks great with many different interior styles.
While it rarely flowers indoors, outdoors it produces flowers that develop into edible fruit that is said to taste like a fruit salad. Monstera deliciosa is a climber in its natural habitat, using its aerial roots to cling to large trees, so you should provide it with moss-covered support sticks or a trellis. If its aerial roots get unruly you can trim them, but it's best to just tuck them back into the pot. These look fantastic in large rooms, hallways, within offices and anywhere else that can cater for their size and caring needs. it is one of the most versatile plants to style with and is hard to go wrong.
